Privacy policy

Last updated: 06/24/2026

This Privacy Policy explains how we collect, use, store and protect your personal data when you visit www.tradingdiarypro.com (the “website”) or use TradingDiary Pro. We are committed to processing your data in accordance with the EU General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR) and applicable Hungarian data protection law.

Who is responsible for your data (Data Controller)

The controller responsible for your personal data is:

Sword Tech Kft.
H-1038 Budapest, Puszta köz 3. 1/2, Hungary
E-mail: support@tradingdiarypro.com

For any privacy-related request, please contact us at the e-mail address above.

What information do we collect?

Depending on how you use the website, we may collect:

Order data – when you purchase a license you are forwarded to the checkout page of our payment provider, Verifone (2Checkout), which acts as the merchant of record and handles all payment, billing and invoicing. Payment and billing details (such as card numbers and your billing address) are entered on and processed by Verifone, not by us. We only receive a confirmation of the purchase and the e-mail address needed to deliver your license.

Contact and support data – when you send us a message through the contact form or by e-mail, we collect your name, e-mail address and the content of your message.

Usage and device data – when you consent, we collect analytics information such as pages visited, approximate location, browser and device type, and similar technical data through cookies and analytics tools (see “Cookies and analytics” below).

You may browse the website without subscribing or placing an order.

How and why we use your information (purposes and legal basis)

We use your personal data for the following purposes:

To process orders and deliver licenses – legal basis: performance of a contract.

To respond to support requests and contact messages – legal basis: our legitimate interest in answering you, or performance of a contract.

To analyse and improve the website using analytics – legal basis: your consent.

To keep the website secure and prevent abuse, e.g. via reCAPTCHA – legal basis: our legitimate interest in protecting the website.

We do not sell or rent your personal data, and we do not use it for advertising profiling.

Cookies and analytics

The website uses cookies and similar technologies. Strictly necessary cookies are required for the site to function. Analytics cookies (Google Analytics, provided through Google Site Kit) are only set after you give consent through our cookie banner, and we operate Google Consent Mode so that, by default, analytics and advertising storage are disabled until you consent.

We also use Google reCAPTCHA on our forms to prevent spam and abuse; reCAPTCHA collects hardware and software information and sends it to Google for analysis.

You can change or withdraw your cookie consent at any time through the cookie banner, and you can block or delete cookies in your browser settings.

Third parties and processors we share data with

We share personal data only with service providers that help us run our business, and only as needed for the purposes above. These include:

Verifone (2Checkout) – payment processing. Please read their privacy policy here.

Google (Google Analytics, Site Kit, reCAPTCHA) – website analytics and security.

These providers act as our processors or as independent controllers under their own privacy policies. We may also disclose information where required to comply with the law, enforce our terms, or protect our rights, property or safety.

International data transfers

Some of our providers (such as Google and Verifone) are based outside the European Economic Area, including in the United States. Where data is transferred outside the EEA, we rely on appropriate safeguards such as the EU Standard Contractual Clauses and/or the EU–U.S. Data Privacy Framework.

How long we keep your data

We keep personal data only as long as necessary for the purposes for which it was collected: order confirmation data for as long as needed to provide and support your license (billing and invoicing records are retained by our payment provider, Verifone, under its own policy); support correspondence for as long as needed to handle your request and for a reasonable period afterwards.

How we protect your information

We implement appropriate technical and organisational measures to protect your personal data. All data is transmitted over an encrypted connection (TLS/SSL). Payment card data is handled by our payment provider and is not stored on our servers.

Your rights

Subject to applicable law, you have the right to access your personal data, to have it corrected or erased, to restrict or object to its processing, to data portability, and to withdraw consent at any time (without affecting processing carried out before withdrawal). To exercise these rights, contact us at support@tradingdiarypro.com.

You also have the right to lodge a complaint with a supervisory authority. In Hungary this is the Hungarian National Authority for Data Protection and Freedom of Information (NAIH, www.naih.hu).

Children’s privacy

Our website, products and services are not directed to children. We do not knowingly collect personal data from children under the age of 16 (or the lower age permitted under applicable national law). For users in the United States, we comply with COPPA and do not knowingly collect data from anyone under 13 years of age.

Third party links

Our website may contain links to third party websites that have their own privacy policies. We have no responsibility or liability for the content or privacy practices of those sites and encourage you to review their policies.

Terms and Conditions

Please also see our Terms and Conditions, which set out the use, disclaimers and limitations of liability governing the use of our website at www.tradingdiarypro.com.

Your consent

By using our website you acknowledge that you have read this Privacy Policy. Where we rely on consent (for example for analytics), we ask for it separately and you may withdraw it at any time.

Changes to this Privacy Policy

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. Any changes will be posted on this page with an updated “Last updated” date above.
